Juvenile escapees recaptured in downtown Natchez

NATCHEZ — Three Pike County teens were recaptured at approximately 9 p.m. Monday after they escaped law officials as they were being transported to the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center on State Street at approximately 4 p.m. Monday, officials said.

Sheriff Travis Patten said all three escapees were recaptured at Cedar Hurst Apartments and were in custody Monday night.

The Natchez Police Department assisted the Adams County Sheriff’s Office in locating the three juveniles whose names and charges were not provided.
