Monterey High Lady Wolves, Ferriday High Lady Trojans ranked high

MONTEREY — Monterey High Lady Wolves, Ferriday High Lady Trojans and Vidalia Lady Vikings end their regular basketball seasons on Friday.

Delta Charter School Lady Storm end their season on Thursday.

The Lady Wolves are No. 8 in the LHSAA Class B girls power ratings with a rating of 46.15. Monterey’s (21-4) last win came against District 6 foe of Glenmora High School. Monterey won 55-45. Andy Gray led the Wolves with 18 points and Harlie Murray finished second with 14 points.

The Wolves’ final game of the season is against district foe Oak Hill High School Lady Rams. The Lady Rams are seeded No. 23 in the power ratings.

Tip off is at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Monterey High School.

The Ferriday High Lady Trojans are ranked No. 8 in the LHSAA Class 2A power ratings. Ferriday High was on an 18-game winning streak from Dec. 12 to Feb. 4. The Lady Trojans earned a 63-23 victory over the Mangham High Lady Dragons on Feb. 7.

The final game of the regular season for the Lady Trojans (19-4) is against the No. 26 ranked Beekman Charter Lady Tigers (12-15).

Tip off is at 6 p.m. Friday at Ferriday High School.

Vidalia High Lady Vikings are ranked No. 33 in the Class 2A power ratings. The Lady Vikings were on a three-game winning streak before Tuesday’s game against Mangham High Lady Dragons.

Lady Vikings (10-12) final game of the regular season is against the No. 7 ranked Rayville High Lady Hornets (21-9) on Friday. Tip off is at 6 p.m. at Vidalia High School.

Delta Charter School Lady Storm

The Lady Storm ranked No. 21 with a power rating of 25.91 in LHSAA Class 1A. Delta Charter were on a six-game losing streak before picking up another win on Feb. 7. Vidalia earned a 60-26 victory over Sicily Island Lady Tigers.

The final game for the Lady Vikings (7-16) is against the Cedar Creek High Lady Cougars. Tip off is at 6 p.m. Thursday at Delta Charter School.
