ACCS to remain closed remainder of school year
NATCHEZ — Adams County Christian School officials announced in an email to parents on Thursday that the school would be closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year.
The statement from ACCS Headmaster David King and Danna Mooney, president of the ACCS Board of Directors, said the students would be expected to continue their distance learning practices at least through May 1.
“We are suspending the requirements that all students take end-of-year exams. Our students will be expected to continue to actively participate in distance learning until the aforementioned date,” the email states. “Unfortunately, this decision is going to create more questions than answers with regard to what will happen to the special events currently scheduled to take place in April and May. We assure you that we are continuing to work diligently to answer all of those questions to the best of our ability. In separate announcements, we will provide guidance with regard to all of these concerns.”
