NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Mary Elizabeth Wicker Cowart, 84, of Natchez who died Monday, April 6, 2020, in Natchez will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2020, at Jersey Settlers Cemetery with Rev. Keith Campbell officiating.  Services will be under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cowart was born May 19, 1935, in Smithdale, MS, the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Wicker and Inez Rae Nunnery Wicker.

Mrs. Cowart was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Thomas Wicker and Albert Wicker.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years Orell Cowart; four children, Billy Cowart and wife Cheryl, Judy Jones and husband Jimmy, Bobby Cowart and wife Donna, and Jane Myrick and husband Allen; seven grandchildren Ann Jones, Junior Jones, Jr., Joe Cowart, Christine Theriot, Stephanie Cowart, Corey Myrick, Connor Myrick; eleven great-grandchildren, one sister Dollie Johnson and husband A. J.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joe Cowart, Jimmy Jones, Jr., Shayne O’Brien, Donald Johnson, Thomas Johnson, and Connor Myrick.
