Mississippi on Monday reports COVID-19 cases

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported an additional 675 new COVID-19 cases Monday and 20 new COVID-19 deaths.

Adams County’s total confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 10 from 243 total confirmed COVID-19 cases on Sunday to 253 confirmed cases on Monday. Adams County’s death toll at 18, including 10 in long-term health care facilities, remained unchanged Monday.

Adams County Emergency Management Agency said as of Friday, Adams County had 16 active cases and 212 recovered cases.

The state now has a total of 26,567 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 1,059 deaths from COVID-19.

The state estimates more than 17,000 of the state’s total confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered.

Mississippi’s death toll from coronavirus includes 516 people from long-term care facilities.
